Little Altars Retreat
January 10, 2015
A time of centering, prayer, and creativity
An altar is a sacred place for praying, listening to divine guidance and giving thanks for blessings. Altars can be powerful visible representations of the spiritual energy that surrounds and sustains us. An altar serves as a kind of reminder of our connection to the spiritual realms. Creating and using an altar can be an effective means of connecting with the Divine.
During our time together, we will engage in body prayer, holy breathing, and conversation. We will enjoy table fellowship and a simple meal. With recycled materials, creativity, and imagination, we will artfully set our intentions for the upcoming year. At the end of the retreat, each participant will take home a small prayer altar.
The cost of the retreat is $35 per person to cover the expense of food, leadership, and art supplies. For the retreat, there must be a minimum of 4 people, maximum of 10. Make your reservation by emailing Helms at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call (704) 654-7429.
