In 2015, we are talking about race again in a way that we have not before. Being present in Enderly Park has given us eyes to see more of the depth of the brokenness of our racial system than many people get to see. We witness every day the way that places like ours have relatively little opportunity in comparison with other parts of town. We see the injustice of systems that treat some differently than others based on the category “race.” We see this inequity affecting people we love, including people who share life with us. We are committed to creating a place of justice and to encouraging opportunity with all of the resources that we have. And, we are committed to talking about this opportunity with all who we encounter in a way that demonstrates love and affection to our places and to those we love and who love us.
